Cinco de Drinko

May is the month of Tequila. With just a taste of those summer temperatures we’re ready for floral dresses, sunglasses, and a pitcher of margaritas! Cinco de Mayo is just around the corner and there are so many ways to celebrate!  Here are just a few of our favorite spots:

20120628-212459-chicago-tacos-antique-roomAntique Taco never disappoints with their killer tacos and a revolving door of margarita flavors that changes with each season. For Cinco De Mayo they will be whipping up slushy prickly pear margaritas and (our favorite part) there will be a photo booth! We especially love their outdoor patio space that is perfect for this mild May weather.

Down the block is Xoco, a restaurant created by Rick Bayless with a rustic classic Mexican menu, dozens of different cocktails and twenty taps of local craft beer. If you’re looking to start celebrating a little early this would be a great lunch option! Who doesn’t love a little day drinking?!

masainterior_magnumMasa Azul is another one of our favorite joints. Their tequila menu has us weak in the knees! Their flawless incorporation of tequila in their food doesn’t hurt either! Located in Logan Square, you’re in the perfect neighborhood to continue the party elsewhere. Just make your way over to Milwaukee Avenue where you will find everything from The Owl to Slippery Slope.

You’ll likely find us partaking in Cinco De Mayo festivities at D.S. Tequila Company in Boystown! Besides their tequila and Tex-Mex inspired menu, their atmosphere is perfect for when you’re in the mood to party!

Wherever you find yourself I hope you enjoy a happy Cinco De Mayo!

Adios for now!
