You asked, we answered! Mixology classes for anyone to join with funding going to a great cause. Help us support the the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and sign up below!AllEvents2After my summer of fun, my fall motivation is usually lacking but after a little stress induced motivation I signed up for my first olympic distance triathlon, which happened to be in Hawaii.  I did a triathlon in 2012 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, I intended to do a few more the next summer. I bought a road bike, I started doing a lot of 5k and 10k races but fell into Pilates and then life happened, I got busy, blah, blah, blah. I spent this summer having a bit too much fun and a lot of booze. I hadn’t really kept up with any sort of fitness and my body was ready for a bit of a pause and a little attention. (more like my waistline was. cough, cough) In October after a particularly stressful month, an email popped up something to the effect of “Hawaii Triathlon, Sign Up Today!” done and done! It was great motivation to get off my tush, not pack on those winter love handles, and also gave us the perfect reason to host a few cocktail classes for a good cause. IMG_6874In coordination with my participation in the triathlon, we are raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, which brings in our cocktail classes.

We will be hosting 3 cocktail classes at some of our favorite places around the city and a happy hour so you can sit back and just drink.

Gene & Georgetti- February 24th http://bit.ly/FDCGG022416

Siena Tavern- March 2nd http://bit.ly/FDCST030216

Fleur de Lis Florists- March 12th http://bit.ly/FDCFDL

STK Happy Hour- March 16th http://bit.ly/FDCSTK

All the money raised goes to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. While yes, the triathlon is in Hawaii, the fundraising takes care of my hotel room which LLS has arranged along with the coaching staff there to help us during the race but I am responsible for my flight and all other expenses. And yes, it’s also the first kind of real vacation I’m taking since starting Femme du Coupe or well since I was 18, even though I’m doing a triathlon while I’m there.
unnamed-3Our first class will be hosted on February 24th at Gene and Georgetti’s restaurant in River North focusing on classic, Mad Men style cocktails from 7-9pm. All of the tickets are $50/person and includes 3 drinks!
