It’s National Tequila Day on July 24th so we decided to celebrate with a little Casa Noble Tequila! You can’t ever go wrong with a good margarita which normally has a nice bit of orange liqueur, but I personally love adding a bit of mandarin liqueur. It compliments the reposado tequila quite nicely! It brings out a little bit of a richer flavor in the margarita!

Most people have had a margarita, so why not branch out a bit? I love a little cilantro in my cocktails but I don’t see it done quite as often as I would like. Along with the tartness from the raspberries and lime, the peppery notes of the tequila are the perfect compliment to this cocktail! It’s easy to make in a pitcher, but a bit out of the norm with the cilantro.

A lot of times people ask me, “What kind of tequila should I use in cocktails?” I personally love Casa Noble because it’s all organic and I don’t have to worry about what pesticides were on it when it was growing. I know they say that those things don’t effect you after the distillation process, but I beg to differ. I don’t like to use Anjeo tequila unless I’m making something without citrus. I think it kind of defeats the purpose because you lose a lot of the nuances and it’s usually more expensive. I love a good tequila Old Fashioned, but I’m not going to make an Anjeo margarita. Just a word to the wise and budget conscious! So join me for a shot and sangrita tomorrow won’t you?! Salut!

Bien à toi,

Revae

Reminder: As long as you have a shot glass at home, you can make this cocktail. No fancy equipment required!
